I have over 30 years of experience as a computer professional providing technical support to analysts, engineers, and end-users. I worked for Compaq Computer Corporation in Houston Texas for 6 years in Quality Engineering. I currently work for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, I.T. Division, providing technical support and Network Administration since 1993.
I also have this side business providing computer repairs to both residential and commercial customers since 1999. Most of my new business comes from customers referring their friends and neighbors. I do have a day job and I work this business from my home so I prefer customers to call ahead for an appointment. I am located 3 miles southeast of Trinity Texas on HWY 356.
My business philosophy is simple, give the customer whatever level of help they need, and give them what is best for them. For example, it is easier for a computer store to simply erase your hard drive and reload the original programs than to pay someone to take the time to troubleshoot and fix the problems. They will also try to sell you whatever programs provide them with the greatest amount of profit instead of something less expensive, or free, that works better. This is understandable because they have to do this to stay in business. Because I have no overhead, I charge less than half what you would pay elsewhere and I do more for less.
